The CASA’s Advice and Guidance Hub has been awarded funding from National Lottery Awards for All England to help run their Welfare Support & Income Maximisation project. This project will help some of the most deprived individuals within our community receive their correct state benefits. In particular the welfare rights and benefit service would like to highlight a particular benefit for people over State Pension age by conducting weekly sessions of support. The support sessions will be face to face and held at the CASA 29 Hope Street, Liverpool, in a safe, warm, friendly, comfortable, non- judgmental environment. This will hopefully result in removing some of the digital barriers people suffering hardship and health problems face when trying to claim their entitled benefits.
The Community Advice Service Association (CASA) is a membership based organisation set-up by the former Liverpool Dockworkers. We offer free independent information, advice and guidance to the local community and surrounding neighbourhood areas. Our aims and objections are to help and support groups and individuals fight against injustice and discrimination.
